While on the road in Clayton, GA, I am Wii-less ... and find myself striking morning yoga poses on J&J's 3rd-floor porch, overlooking the north Georgia mountains.
The sun rises. Hummingbirds swoop and dive, their wings buzzing and flashing in the morning air. I work through my routine: sun salutation, crescent moon, palm tree, chair.
During the tree pose, with one bare foot pressed in the hollow of the opposite thigh, my spine flexes slightly. A painful kink -- a stiffness that has irritated me for weeks -- loosens. A wave of relief spreads outward, and clenched muscles release.
Thirty perfect minutes --
placid thoughts,
no mind.
